Areas of Focus

I am an adult psychiatrist and provide care for a wide range of concerns through comprehensive evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy. The areas below reflect particular clinical and academic interests within that broader practice.

01

OCD and related disorders

Obsessive-compulsive disorder and related conditions, including intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, reassurance seeking, rumination, checking, avoidance, perfectionism, and scrupulosity. Treatment may involve medication, psychotherapy, and coordination with ERP-focused therapy when appropriate.

02

Anxiety disorders

Anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, panic, social anxiety, health anxiety, phobias, and anxiety that emerges around work, relationships, uncertainty, or major life transitions. Treatment may include diagnostic clarification, medication when appropriate, psychotherapy, and practical strategies for reducing avoidance and restoring functioning.

03

Trauma and stress-related conditions

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), acute stress reactions, and the lasting effects of trauma; including hypervigilance, avoidance, emotional numbing, difficulty with trust, and disruptions in identity or self-worth. Treatment is informed by an understanding of how trauma shapes the nervous system and relational patterns.

04

High-demand work, leadership, and founder life

Care for people in demanding professional roles, including founders, physicians, executives, and academics, who may be dealing with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, isolation, or struggling internally despite doing well professionally.

05

Interventional psychiatry consultation

Evaluation and consultation for people considering interventional psychiatric treatments such as ketamine, esketamine, TMS, ECT, or related approaches. Consultations may include reviewing prior treatment history, clarifying diagnosis, discussing evidence and risks, and helping patients think through whether a treatment is appropriate for their situation.
